We’re starting ‘Young City Coders’ as an after-school coding club for Aberdeen. We see that this is missing in Aberdeen, and we know that there is a need and desire for a club like this.
As you see, we’re looking for your old laptops to repurpose them for club use. We’ll wipe the memory, and then install a fresh operating system on top of everything to wipe it one more time. We’re also looking for funding to help us with rent and operating costs. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
You can read about it here, and then follow the link to sign up your interest too. https://codebase.typeform.com/to/bJHiCU
#ONECodeBase is partnering with @codethecity to bring an under 19’s coding club beginning late summer!☀️To be able to deliver this programme, we are looking for old/unused laptops💻 Contact Ian Watt email@example.com or Zoe Evans firstname.lastname@example.org for more info! pic.twitter.com/ghb1NRbTxR

When the club is running, then we’ll offer mentorship to help you complete projects and learn to make computers do what you want them to do. We will be there to help you learn to code. If you don’t want to wait, then look at these resources to get started with learning to code as well as ideas for projects.
